About Rooted in Christ
This is a group based on John 15:15 “No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you” and Colossians 2:6-7 “Therefore as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving."
We follow the pattern of the early church in Acts 2:42 “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.”
We want to live rooted in love as friends of Jesus by: going deeper in the Word diving deeper in prayer growing deeper in love with Jesus & one another
A typical gathering starts with fellowship time and could be spent discussing the sermon, studying a book of the Bible, prayer and worship times, outreach to our neighbors, etc.
The hope is to cultivate a space of belonging and vulnerability that is rooted in God’s love. We want to share and live our lives together through good food, intentional prayer, and serving opportunities.
